Ever since I can remember I have had issues with my body weight but thankfully I discovered Body Optimum. The health assessment and treatment given to me by Rachel has completly changed the way I look at eating. The body composition analysis provided me with a much greater understanding of my body, and meant that I had targets and goals to achieve which provided me with incredible motivation. The meal plans and recipes Rachel did make weight loss EASY (she is a miracle worker!) I am still eating tasty and filling meals, but feeling fit and great for it.
Now because of Body Optimum I will be running the marathon in April and feel confident that I will do well!
Thank you for having such a positive influence on my life and I am sure many others.

I went to Body Optimum because I have psiorisis and thought it might help. Rachel was really approachable and put me at ease. With Rachel’s help, I have completely changed my eating habits and now eat a lot healthier. I am actually eating more stuff than I used to but eating good stuff. Rachel found out that I had a wheat intolerance and I no longer eat wheat. I also ended up losing a stone and a half in 6 weeks, reached my ideal weight, lost a lot of fat mass and my psiorisis is better than it was. All my friends say that I look great and my skin is really clear and looks the best it has ever been. I also feel great and have loads more energy and no longer have to rely on caffeine to begin the day. I’d definetly recommend Rachel to anyone who requires a nutritionist.

Just thought I would update you on how things are going since my appointment with you in October. I really started to notice a difference around Christmas time, especially my mood. At first I thought it was because I had a few days off at Christmas and had relaxed a bit. But as time has gone on I feel so much better. I feel a lot calmer, don't get stressed out like I used to. I have not had neuralgia at all since. A few people around me at work have noticed the difference in me; I used to get very stressed at work. It feels now almost like a cloud has been lifted off me and I feel so much more positive. My arthritis although still painful in parts is so much better than it usually is in the winter. I can't believe the difference those small changes have made. I keep saying to my friends the best thing I ever did was to come and see you.
Thank you so much for the advice you gave me. I'm always saying to friends when they say about various things wrong with them "Go and see a nutritionist"

I'm not going to break any records, I just wanted to feel more comfortable and have that little bit more energy when out on longer runs. So one morning at ‘bfit bootcamp’ I asked Rachel for an appointment.
Being 100% veggie and cutting down on dairy products I thought my diet was good. Then Rachel looked at my weekly food plan and did a Body Composition Analysis. My diet was lacking protein; I was eating the wrong carbs and my electrolytes were imbalanced. Rachel explained that the amount of exercise I do it was important to get my electrolyte balance right and was why I was suffering from night cramps, which was disturbing my sleep.
Rachel recommended two supplements, one being an electrolyte balance which has resulted in the night cramps disappearing and has proved invaluable when out running. Rachel also gave me an individual food and daily fluid requirement plan. I am amazed that by adding certain foods to my diet the difference it has made to my energy levels. After my second Body Composition Analysis Rachel showed me how my Fluid Distribution had improved as had my muscle density.
Rachel’s wealth of knowledge on food and diet is amazing, her friendly approach and plain taking made me feel at ease. At 50+ it’s great to know that with some manageable changes to my diet I can still eat a diet I believe in and feel even better when exercising... I would highly recommend Rachel. Thank You

I started noticing lots of positive changes in my life just a few days after trying the plan Rachel recommended. I came to Rachel when i realised i was struggling with tiredness and seemed to have low energy all the time. I was travelling a fare amount, training and competing and decided maybe my diet was something that could be improved. Just a line to thank you so very much for your help concerning my cholesterol which prior to my seeing you was a LDL of 4.5. Now several months after taking your advice etc I'm pleased to say I've managed to get it down to 2.6. Very happy with that. Also Ruth would like to say thank you for your help and advice with her debilitating depression and there has certainly been tremendous improvement.
We will most certainly consult you again should we need to. Also, we'd have no hesitatation in recommending you.

Following my three Nutrition appointments with Rachel I feel compelled to write and say how worthwhile and beneficial I found the appointments.
I highlighted my concerns during my first appointment which included low energy levels and suffering from migraines since I was a young age.
By the third appointment I have found that my energy levels are consistently good throughout the day and most amazingly my migraines have not surfaced for 2 months... the first time I can ever remember this happening!
I have found Rachel's advice clear well explained and detailed in an easy to follow method. I was very dubious at first as to the effects the appointments may have. I was proved wrong and by following Rachel's advice it has undoubtedly improved my quality of life at home and work and for this I am very thankful.

I've tried numerous treatments for SAD, and whilst I found bright light therapy helpful by far the most effective treatment has been the nutritional plan provided by Rachel. My mood is now better and more stable, I have more energy, sleep more soundly, wake up feeling alert and that feeling of being unable to drag myself out of bed in the dark winter months has gone. I had also suffered my whole life from frequent headaches, and I've not had a single one since I've been following her treatment.
Being something of a sceptic I'm amazed that a few simple dietary changes could have such a pronounced effect - particularly when my GP's approach was to prescribe anti-depressants which I was wary of taking. I'm now so convinced of the benefits of good nutrition that Rachel will be my first port of call for any future ailments. Her analysis is very in depth, her advice is clear and her manner puts you immediately at ease. I'd unhesitatingly recommend her to anyone.

I went to see Rachel for help with a condition called Fibromyalgia. There is very little treatment offered by conventional medicine for Fibromyalgia and the few options there are have bad side effects. My main symptoms were extreme fatigue that got a lot worse mid afternoon, poor quality unrestful sleep, difficulty concentrating and "fibro fog" which is when you’re unable to remember things like everyday words or how to do something that you do every day. I also suffered from migraines, which I had to take drugs for daily and had extremely irregular periods. I had reservations about going to Rachel as I thought it would all be about cutting things out of my diet and telling me what I shouldn't eat.
My reservations were completely unfounded; it was not about banning me from foods at all. It was about helping me understand which foods would help with my condition and changing the way I eat. If anything I'm enjoying my food more than I ever have. After only two consultations the combination of the supplements Rachel recommended and my food plan have had amazing results. I feel better than I have in years. I have more energy and no more afternoon crashes, my sleep is starting to improve and the aching is getting better every week. Amazingly I have not had so much as a headache let alone a migraine. Since I first saw Rachel at the beginning of March I have not even taken a headache tablet. I have been able to stop taking both of my migraine medications and no longer have to use sleeping tablets. My concentration has improved so much and the "fibro fog" has almost disappeared. I now have regular periods too. Another unexpected but very welcome result is that in combination with nutrition and doing the bFit Bootcamp I've lost over a stone; even though I'm eating more than I did before!!
I cannot recommend going to see Rachel enough. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional and her friendly approach and clear advice make everything so easy to understand and put in to practice. My quality of life has improved tenfold and I honestly can't thank her enough for her help.

I consulted Rachel for advice on how to manage an increasingly irritable gut, & a flareup of joint pain & inflammation in my fingers, wrists & elbows.
She listened carefully, took notes, & worked out an advice sheet on supplements, dietary advice, & what to avoid. What could be more fundamentally important; to maintain & support one's body, especially when its under pressure, than eating the right foods, & supplements, under the watchful care of someone who understands these things.
